UAPB “Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South” (M4)

The Arkansas-Pine Bluff “Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South” Marching Band has performed in nearly every major stadium in the country, and has captivated audiences at professional football games, countless "Battle of the Bands" competitions, and on national television. The UAPB Marching Band has even marched in the Inaugural Parade for the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama and performed a halftime show for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.

Alcorn State University “Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite”

Alcorn State University’s “Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite” Marching Band has over 200 members and have performed before crowds at Soldier Field in Chicago, the Astrodome in Houston, the Los Angeles Coliseum, Texas Stadium in Dallas, the Orange Bowl in Miami, and more! Most recently, the Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite Marching Band was one of eight selected to perform at the Pepsi 2022 National Battle of the Bands.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions

The Golden Lions finished the 2021 season with a 1-7 conference record and 2-9 overall. Despite a rough start to the season, they were still able to secure an important victory in the SWAC Western Division Championship, with a 36-31 win over Prarie View A&M. Thia year they’ll be aiming to make a second straight appearance in the SWAC championship game.

Last season the Alcorn State Braves finished with a 5-3 conference record and 6-5 overall. After sitting out the 2021 spring season, the Braves will be returning to the field looking to win their third SWAC championship in four years. With the longest home winning streak in the SWAC, at 13 games, they are picked in the SWAC’s predicted order of finish to win the Western Division Title.
